No smoking.
All wet clothes and towels belong on the clothesline outside—not on the floor, furniture, or deck railing. There’s a drying rack on the porch for rainy days.
We do not provide linens or towels. Every bed has a comforter, pillow, and mattress cover. Keep the heat under 50 degrees during the summer.
Use the foot baths stationed at the bottom of the beach and front deck stairs to wash your soles of sand before using the steps and entering the cabin.
Make sure everything on the beach is pulled up from the water when you walk away. Take the hammock and cushions in at night.
The hammock hangs on hooks in the two trees to the right of the shed. (Do not use the hammock inside. It hangs on the porch for storage purposes only. Those rafters won’t support a child.)
No candles. Do not use the fireplace. A bonfire in the beach fire pit is at your own risk. Never remove embers from the fire pit. Give them a good soaking before going to sleep. Do not put sand or garbage into the fire pit.
A dog is welcome with permission. Please keep it off the furniture. We do not put chemical cleaners in the toilet for pet safety. We do not give permission for cats. We are allergic and their presence on the property forfeits your damage deposit.
Everything in the house is inventoried and checked by housekeeping. Notify us of spills, stains, breaks, losses or other damage to the cabin or its contents in advance and there will be less of an impact on your deposit.
The tap is hard, mineral-rich water from a ground well and may bother some digestive systems. We drink and make coffee with bottled water, but otherwise cook and clean with the tap.
Do not put anything in the toilet besides toilet paper. Use the washing machine sparingly. You may encounter air in the plumbing. You should not have problems otherwise.
Everything in the kitchen is at your disposal. There are travel soaps and shampoos in the bath. There is a vacuum in the kids’ bedroom closet and cleaners under the sinks.
In an emergency, call 911. There is a fire extinguisher and fire blanket under the kitchen sink. For plumbing, electrical, or any other problem or incident call us anytime. Do not call your own repair person—we have contractors on call.
Trash bags are in the broom closet. Put all garbage in bags and dispose in the rolling carts outside by the shed. The blue bins are for washed out recyclables.
Casella Sanitation takes our garbage and recycling every Friday morning. If everyone empties the house and takes the bins up on Thursday night, no one should leave behind—or arrive to find—much trash on Saturday.
Please leave everything as you found it. Sign out of the television apps for your privacy. Strip the beds and take your linens. Run the dishwasher.
